Famous Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo stated that AirPods Pro with USB-C may be released soon. He added that Apple has no such plans for other AirPods models for now.

Apple is preparing to make changes in its devices, as the European Union makes the use of USB-C mandatory in electronic products. The company will switch to Type-C in the iPhone 15 series it will release this year.

The US technology giant plans to make this change in other products such as AirPods as well as iPhone. A post by the famous Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also reveals that Airpods with USB-C may come soon.

Earlier this week, Apple released the iOS 16.4 update for developers and beta users. This update also included references about the new AirPods Pro.

According to Kuo, these references reveal that the new AirPods Pro will come with USB-C. The update shows the new headset with the model number of A3048, and the box with the model number of A2968.

“I think this is the USB-C version of AirPods Pro 2, which is expected to begin mass shipments in the second or third quarter of 2023,” Kuo said on Twitter.
